1982 911 Porsche Turbo roof dent removal

We love Porsche’s! So when a beautiful 1982 pearl white 911 turbo came into the shop, we were extremely happy to lend a hand. The model 930 turbo is pretty rare and this particular one was in really good condition, except for the two creases along the back edge of the roof. Because pearl white paint is a difficult color to match, the owner of the car did not want to take the car to a body shop for a conventional repair and repaint.

Our original game plan was to have a Porsche service center remove the headliner so we could gain access behind the dents. After consulting a the Porsche shop, we decided to leave the headliner in place and work the dents though the open sunroof and a zipper access panel along the back edge. Removing the older headliner might have resulted in damage and having to replace it. As a result, gaining leverage on the underside of these dents proved to be a challenging and fatiguing process. In the end the result was fantastic. The owner of the car was extremely happy with the paintless dent repair and actually posted a recommendation for Dent Hero on the Porsche Club of America member forum.
