Porsche 911 turbo S golf ball dent repair

One of our clients brought in a beautiful Porsche 911 turbo S that was dented by an errant golf ball. The car was parked in the wrong place at the wrong time in the nearby Country Club Hills neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia. The golf ball strike at the top of the drivers door near the side view mirror, caused a very unsightly blemish which the owner had to see every time he drove his 2016 metallic blue Porsche 991.

The primary way we fix dents in cars, is to gain access behind the dent and then slowly and methodically massage the metal back to its original shape with precise hand tools and special lights. The dent in this Porsche was in a challenging location, at the top of the door. This area of the car has multiple layers of reinforced metal. Also, the door on this 2016 Porsche 911 is made of aluminum, which is much harder to push than steel.

In order to gain access to the dent on this Porsche, we had to remove the interior door panel and side view mirror. We were then able to put a sharp metal rod on the interior side of the dent and gently massage it flat. Heat was also applied in order to make the aluminum more flexible and move more freely.

This Porsche dent repair required about 3 hours. We were able to save the client a great deal of time and money, compared to a conventional body shop repair. Plus the original Porsche paint remains.
